Do All Racoons Smell?

So I was bringing some firewood into the backyard last night and noticed a racoon digging in my planter about 10 feet away. It smelled SO bad, even from 10 feet away.

Pretty sure he was going after the giant maggot things I discovered and slaughtered 2 weeks ago
